|07:58 pm - lots of little fiddly bits|
A couple of short walks today, including one taking three plastic shopping bags-full of clothing to the donation bin. It mostly didn't rain on me, although it certainly threatened. The sort of classic Pacific Northwest weather where it's not quite raining, with the wind scudding the clouds around, and just a hint of occasional sun to let you know it's still fall, not winter. It says home to me in a very real way, even as my bones creak and my muscles ache and part of me longs for high desert weather. (No, there's likely no pleasing me, it's true.)
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with shelly_rae for tea and conversation. ::waves::
I keep discovering entities with whom I have forgotten to update my address, so this morning I did another round of phoning and holding and logging into obscure websites to take care of that. Really, now - how did I miss the folks who send me my pension on the first pass of changes? The beauty of direct deposit, I suppose. I also looked into long-term care insurance as I was updating my info with the insurance company. Pricey, but quite probably something I need to give serious thought. Argh. Clearly I can't count on being hit by a meteorite to take care of my inevitable decline, so I suppose I should consider some sort of plan B.
Oh, and it's official, I'm going to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. You have been warned. :)
