09:36 am - more Torchwood music Just found out that the song I tried to find from the episode "They Keep Killing Suzie" was not Soley, Soely by Middle of the Road, but was instead Gorecki by Lamb. The vocal in question had reminded me of Kate Bush; I'm not familiar with her latest album Aerial (2005) to have said it wasn't her from the snippet.
So I've grabbed the Lamb album from iTunes, after checking the song out at length and finding I really liked it. Current Music: Cotton Wool - Lamb

There's also a French version of "Gorecki" that was used for the movie Girl on the Bridge. It is an occasional obsession of mine to go looking in some new internet place to see if I can find if Lamb also did that one and if it is available somewhere. "Cotton Wool" is one of my favorites from that first album, which I think takes some getting used to. "Gorecki" is definitely the smoothest song on there. The rest of the time they're really experimenting with rhythms and Louise Rhodes is kind of singing alongside the music rather than with it. |
