Oh, I'm not forgetting the meetings. Plenty of meetings, which for IOP (the Intensive Outpatient Program) equals a minimum of two a week, so fairly easily done. I did the "90 in 90" thing last time, and as far as I'm concerned this time around, two good meetings a week I enjoy trumps seven meetings that will drive me (back) to drink simply for the sake of the numbers.
But outside the meetings? I've spent more time on the phone the last four days than I have in the last four months; I counted. My sponsor, folks from inpatient I'm keeping in touch with, Oxford houses I'm trying to interview for a bed in... It's driving me to look for a Bluetooth headset. Of course I want an over-the-ear one that will look like the ones the Torchwood folks have, but I'm having a bit of trouble with compatibility issues.
On the other hand, I tested out the VZ Navigator GPS-based system when I was out driving around with faintheart this afternoon, and I love it. I think I may be able to use it for geocaching, too.
My only real complaint about this phone, which is the LG-VX8550 aka 'Chocolate' is that it's got a different adapter size than the VX8500 also aka 'Chocolate', as far as I can tell. All I know is I have bought three separate items that claim to fit or contain adapters for ALL LG phone models, only to have none of them actually fit my handset. Then I have to call or email or otherwise contact the company to get them to send me the proper adapter for my apparently anomalous version of the handset. As yet all of these are still pending arrival, so I'm not yet certain of success.
Granted, the whole point of Bluetooth is wirelesses, which you'd think would obviate the connector problem, but at this point I'm paranoid. I'm sure I'll get over it, but spending the afternoon in Frys being told they didn't carry the items for my phone I was looking for did take me a trifle aback.
Anyway, these days if I don't answer my phone, I'm probably on the other line.
