Yeah, I'd sort of sworn off Anita Blake and her ever-growing harem, but I was browsing the stacks of new books at the library and it was just sitting there. I've been on a fluff kick of late, so I picked it up to read for the next hour until my bus came, figuring I'd leave it behind. I ended up checking it out after all. Still more sex than story, but I knew that was going to be the case ahead of time, so it wasn't as annoying.
Body Guard - Suzanne Brockmann
The Admiral's Bride - Suzanne Brockmann
Over the Edge - Suzanne Brockmann
I did say I'd not been reading Classics Of Literature. I'm finding I like Brockmann's books for a quick read - she manages to write romances where people don't always - if ever - do the stupid formulaic things to get to the "x loses y" portion of the story. There isn't really always an "x loses y" portion of the story, even. It makes me happy every time it doesn't happen. Heh.
