Finished (re)reading Complicity by Iain Banks. I had only read it in "uncorrected proof" before - I recall noticing any substantial changes. The other reason I re-read it was seeing it mentioned as a book that Banks set out writing to shock, having been accused of doing such in his prior works. If it was the first book of his I had encountered I probably wouldn't have become such an enthusiastic fan, it may be my least favorite. Apparently also it has been made into a film, but I am not sure I want to see it. I've gotten squeamish in my old age.
