faintheart and I went to Costco last night, and what should we stumble across in the books section? The Color Diet.
Okay, it's really called Eating by Color, and is from Williams Sonoma, of all things. It's also less wacky than it sounds, since it appears to discuss eating bright colored foods and vegetables in terms of their qualities and health benefits.
So I guess the market is still open.
I'm probably not the first, but I've idly thought about starting a fad diet based on the colors associated with chakras
. It'd probably work, too -- at least about as well as any fad diet does. Feeling confused? Eat some pineapple. Wimpy? Have a carrot. Need to open your heart? Have some spinach.
Unfortunately, it's hard to find blue food. But that's easily remedied: just say, "In ancient Indian lore, kale and broccoli are blue," and bobs-yer-uncle.

The all-blueberry diet!
I've had that diet, more or less, for a day or two. Mmmmm, fresh local blueberries.
They say that Japan bento cookbooks tell mothers to fill the bento boxes with lots of diffeent colors to ensure good nutrition. Like, green veggies and red tomatoes etc...http://lunchinabox.net
