radioactive super-kitty

Xiombarg is off at the Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center as of 11:30 a.m. this morning. grouchychris very kindly gave us a ride.

The good news is that since I caught on early, she doesn't have a heart murmur or failing kidneys or muscle wasting - all of which can develop as a result of untreated hyperthyroidism. It also means that she can be treated with a low-end dose of the iodine radio-isotope, so she may be released to come home tomorrow morning, rather than in a day or three.

The funniest thing is that I'm doing the same thing she does - I find myself looking around wondering "Where's the cat?" She will wander around the house looking for me on occasion, my mom has confirmed. We are a pair...

Now we are both super! She's been irradiated, and I have a bionic tummy. Woo-hoo!
