I use the word fantastic advisedly, as it is dark fantasy/horror, and I found it enjoyable and well-made. It is the first of a trilogy, and the second film is completed and opened in Russia on 1 January 2006.
It's a very dynamic film, very kinetic. They do some innovative things with the subtitles that I was very impressed with, and have not seen anywhere else before.
It's the archetypical battle between the forces of light and darkness, but with a view closer to the yin/yang symbol (a speck of light in darkness, a hint of shadow in the light) than the usual annoying absolutes.
I'd like to go back and see it again when it is in wide release, I think.
