After reading Poets, Inc. (at the Boston Globe) I think I might have to subscribe to Poetry magazine. Though that may simply be my knee-jerk reaction to the ever-disagreeable Harold Bloom pooh-poohing the creation of the Poetry Foundation from the Ruth Lilly bequest.

After all, one of their goals is that it should someday be possible to make a living writing poetry. They also have a nasty democratic streak; perhaps he fears that soon the hoi polloi will have besieged his Ivy tower. Ruffians and rakes, the lot of us.
