a rare moment of peace

I'm clean, my clothes are clean, my hair is drying, there's a slight breeze from the fan.

Nothing hurts, nothing itches, I'm awake enough to be happy and yet not awake enough to be thinking of anything distressing.

I don't have to be anywhere or say anything right away. The city lights are gorgeous, and the sky is just barely lightening.
