gaming

While playing Miles Bourne yesterday afternoon I found myself thinking about my childhood; we really did have quite a number of board games. Monopoly was the first - I know we went through several sets, from my mom's (or grandmother's) set with the old wooden pieces (not shaped like cars or hats or anything) to the modern version with the plastic houses/hotels and the metal player markers. Lots of Parker Brothers games - which is sort of what brought the thought to me, as the version of MB we played last night was copyrighted Hasbro, and distributed by some other subsidiary. Hasbro must have eaten Parker Bros. at some point, I guess, in addition to WoTC et al.
