Heard Loren Bacall on NPR this morning - she's updated her autobiography, it seems, under the title By Myself and Then Some. It's only 25 years after she published it... you know, a few things can happen in 25 years.

It struck me again in passing how for there to be a story, there has to be someone left to tell it.

NPR is also reviving a feature called "This I Believe" where they are encouraging people to write short essays about their personal credo and submit them to be archived. Some will be read by the authors on the air. Should be interesting, one way or another.
