It is true I was watching a film with Hugo Weaving when I broke open the package and popped the disk in the player. However, I'd lay pretty good odds that I was the only one watching Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves as a result.
Indeed, I took delivery of the boxed set of the Matrix movies last night.
The best part was getting to have dinner with people at Cedars, seven of us around the big round table, talking wrestling and biology, intellectual rigor and super-heroes raised by butterflies. Ah, the mockery flowed like wine...
Then I came home and watched the first part of my acquisition, having effectively banished sleep by being unable to stop drinking the delicious chai they have at Cedars. The food there is excellent, but my favorite thing is how when you order chai it's like ordering coffee somewhere else - the wait-staff come around with silver pots and refill your cup regularly. A little too regularly for some of us, apparently... anyway. I had a delightful time, all told.
