Sitting here looking at my last entry, wondering if maybe the spell check didn't recognize the word 'garbanzo' because perhaps it was really spelled 'garbonzo' or some such, and the word starts rolling through my head in more and more stentorian tones, taking on that sort of heightened significance that is ironically devoid of meaning - garbanzo garbanzo GARBANZO... and I find myself thinking "Is this how David Lynch gets started?" with a faint undertone of worry about an incipient decent into (still further) madness.

According to 'garbanzo' is correct (whew!) and the etymology is Spanish.
