Interesting - apparently there is a possible link between iron deficiency and Restless Leg Syndrome. I've been doing a little reading trying to figure out the best type of iron supplement to take - the depressing news is that the absolute best source is meat, which is right out.

One of the gastric bypass surgery after-effects is difficulty in absorbing the proper amount of vitamins and minerals due to the shortened path of food through the small intestine. Last time or two I've tried to give blood, they've turned me away for anemia, and I think I mentioned earlier I've been having minor dizzy spells that remind me strongly of the sensations caused by holding your breath. Mild hypoxia is another possible result of anemia. Considering the low absorption rate of most iron supplements I'm beginning to think I should just start chewing on nails or something just to have a semiconstant source.
