pencil

there went today

Breakfast, then ROTK, then coming home and getting sucked into re-reading the whole damn book when I just meant to look up a couple of things...

The only real down side is I still need to walk to the store, and I clearly should have gone earlier in the day when the sun's faint feeble warmth was still operant.

back, not frozen

That wasn't so bad, really. Layers are your friend. I came very close to having too many, actually, for the amount of physical exertion the walk took.

There was indeed a halo around the moon, which my Field Guide to North American Weather says indicates ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, and therefore a good chance of snow - so even we of the city core may see some after all. I guess pavement is a surprisingly good heat-sink.
