(no subject)

Rumor has it today is Monday, and therefor I must return to work. On the gripping hand, if this is Monday, then the George Dyson reading is tonight. Then the Kodo drummers are Tuesday, and I'm meeting a Secret Friend on Wednesday or Thursday, so there are many things to look forward to in the category of !work.

Okay, that's the third time in the last 24 hours that I've heard an aircraft of some sort buzz my apartment building. I'm guessing helicopter by the speed/sound. Somebody alter the flightpath to Harborview? Or are the pilots now in the pay of the TIPS stooges...

George Dyson's presentation tonight on the Orion Project was fun - it was a slideshow rather than a reading. He's far too tall to be the capricious gnome his father is, but he's got the same mobile face and quick wit.

A bonus was Neil Stephenson sitting near me in the audience, so I got to hear about his latest writing project.

Other than that I spent 3 hours at the dentist - less fun, but I did get a nap in.
