if it's spring, I must be moving

So it looks like I'll be doing the majority of my moving in two weeks. That means this is the point where I scream "Aaaaaaaa!" and wish for a fire from heaven that would just burn all my stuff so I didn't have to worry about it.

I really do have a number of boxes I haven't opened in the year I've been here. Some of them are books, granted. Some of it I'm not exactly sure what it is - those will probably just go. Where they go is something else again. Anybody want any stuff?

I'm not sure what I want to do with the majority of my kitchen items, as well. Ulysses and Carol have a well equipped kitchen as it stands, so I doubt I've got any things that would contribute anything other than clutter. Store them? Sell them? Give them away?

I'm open to suggestions, and if anyone knows of people (private or organizational) who are looking for needful household things, I can likely provide. I'm condensing a stand-alone household (studio-sized, so it's not as bad as it could be) to a room in a well furnished house. Many Things Must Go, since I don't want to put a bunch of stuff in storage.

If I were clever, I'd post a list - and I may get to that point eventually. I'll call it an extended fire sale/give-away, since what doesn't get taken I'm liable to put in a big pile and burn... okay, probably not, but that gives an idea of the tenor of my thought.

Anyway, consider yourselves warned.
