Who needs affect anyway?
Stubborn, cantankerous, and more than willing to cut off my nose to spite my face; hell, and why stop at just the nose? Yep, I am my father's daughter. Hooray.
Someday I'll figure out how to explain how insanely furious unverified assumptions about my behavior make me, and the absurd lengths to which I find myself going to not comply with them. In the grand scheme of the universe, it's pretty stupid. But somehow there's a world of difference between 'Would you like a ride? Leave your phone on so I can call you.' and 'I'll call you about rides later; leave your phone on.' It's all about asking, somehow.
Actually, there's enough truth in that last line I will say it again: It's all about asking.
