07:12 am - life changing (incremental version)
Day before yesterday I signed up for GISHWHES, an internet scavenger hunt I learned about first on the Nerdist podcast. It is sponsored by Misha Collins (of Supernatural fame) and basically involves random acts of chaos kindness and photographs and stuff. Website says people have found it inspiring and life-changing, and I could use a bit of both. Plus I like having a reason to Do Weird Things.

Yesterday I managed to find the energy to both vacuum and do some laundry. I'm not going to insist there is causality there, but I'll take it.

So, do you have my problem with laundry? You can muster the energy to WASH the clothes... but not to put them back in drawers and hang them up and such?

I'm now thinking that maybe my most frequently-worn items should just be STORED in a big basket and save trouble.

I usually manage to get them folded, but only because that is my way of telling clean from unclean. If it's folded, it is unworn, whether it is in a pile on the floor, or a basket, or on a shelf. But my main storage method is the pile, yes indeed.

The "unfuck your habitat" blogger calls that a floordrobe. She thinks we should work on improving our tendency to form them, and while in general I agree with her, somehow having a catchy name for it makes it seem more appealing, not less...
