|08:35 am - report|
Hmm, what can I say. Food continues to be the enemy; it's been a long time since my gastric bypass surgery but I may go back to the protein-shake stage diet if this continues, since I'm really tired of feeling ill after I eat anything.
Oh, wait - this is actually sort of cool news, for me. I am going to participate in a 5k race this weekend. I'm just walking it, but it's a secret fitness goal I've had for a while, to do something like this, so I'm kind of excited. We've done a couple of preparatory sessions with our trainer over what turns out to be part of the course, even, so I'm really quite certain I can do it. I'm not trying for a particular time or anything, just participating and finishing.
The weekend forecast also includes pancakes! Heh heh.
Current Mood: determined
A 5k event is a terrific start. Good on you. I'm sure you can do it.
I started with fun events and my first was a 5k. I now use a monthly event (or try to--my crash interrupted many things) as the reward for faithfully working out. They are fun and it's oh so heartening to see all sorts of people in all sorts of conditions doing the same thing.

It includes pancakes, but are you going to come eat them? :P
Actually, if you come, you don't have to eat them if you think they will upset your stomach. We can always offer you tortillas and hummous or something. But I have come to love plain pancakes with no syrup. They are still high in calories and fat content, but at least not so high in sugar.
The news about the 5K run is very cool. I bet a year or two ago you would never have even considered it.
THat race thing is freaking awesome!!!
