There are times I hate not-driving, but as yet not so much as to change myself into someone who drives. Which is a roundabout way of saying I'm not as sanguine about my current location after the first week here.

There is bus service, but I've apparently been spoiled by my tenure in Seattle. There is a bus I can catch by the house, yes, but it seems by the schedule to run once every five hours or so. This will not do. Nor does it make a lot of sense, yet.

As an experiment I finally walked home from the Meeting Place - it took me half an hour, which isn't bad. The sidewalk is sorta-kinda in a number of spots, though. I wasn't UNcomfortable along the way, but I wasn't really comfortable either.

The house itself is... not what I expected. Some of that is that the current housemanager is new to the position, and doesn't always know how to handle some of the crap that comes up. She makes a lot of exceptions to the rules, and it's not always good.

I'm not certain what I want to do, yet.

4 clients, 1 house manager, 1 dog. Beds for 10 clients, tho. My fear being if I feel crowded NOW, how will I cope with an additional 6 people? Not well, if I know myself at all...
